Congrats to Joe Mauer and the Twins on his 8 year deal. So this is what an $184 millionaire looks like? (An outtake from my ESPN shoot at his Mom’s house)

$184 Million Man
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010In Chicago for Sabert’s Corp.
Tuesday, March 9th, 2010I recently spend two days shooting in Chicago, IL for the Sabert Corp., maker of many a food service product. They discovered my D’Amico Cucina pictures and wanted me to capture that same vibe on-site at some client locations. I really love being around kitchens and restaurants. If you’ve never worked in one, you have really missed out on a singular job experience - it’s a great way to learn about people and personalities. Big thanks to the great people at Tasty Catering and Biaggi’s restaurant!

Theatre Publicity work: Trista Baldwin’s “American Sexy at the Guthrie Theatre
Thursday, January 7th, 2010
My friend Trista Baldwin, who is part of The Workhaus Collective and The New Theatre Group, is having her play “American Sexy” produced at Minneapolis’ famed Guthrie Theatre as part of their “Singled Out” festival of emerging artists. I’ve been fortunate to have worked with Trista in the past and was happy to help her & Brian Balcom of the New Theatre Group out with some publicity photos. I can not wait to see this show!

DoubleCross Press: Another Word
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010
An old image of mine has been used as the cover of DoubleCross Press’s book of Matthew Henrikson’s poem “Another Word.” I really love this image, I guess it’s my homage to Edward Weston with a bit of Zone System up in that mother.
Jon James CD art
Monday, December 14th, 2009
Just received the finished version of Jon James latest CD Au Contraire with some commissioned work of mine. Power poppy, with traces of T-Rex and other early to mid-’70s hooks and guitars. JJ is a veteran of the Twin Cities music scene and has been working on this project for a couple of years. I’m delighted to have been a part of his finished product.

Secret Passions of the Law Firm Support Staff
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009Had a fun job recently for former employers of mine (back when I was an actor & had a day-job) Fredrikson & Byron, PA. F & B is the state of Minnesota’s 3rd largest law firm, and is a proud sponsor of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts current exhibit “The Louvre and the Masterpiece.”
They are promoting their involvement with pictures of employees involved in their own personal artistic pursuits, ones that the person in the next cube might never have known about.

AOL ShelterPop
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009Shot a really fun project for AOL’s online magazine ShelterPop last month. They have a section of photo essays on how people use their kitchens, and I was to cover a stylist, Christine Hoffman, who has a blog and makes pies every Friday. This piece is to be published after the new year, when they relaunch the site with a fresh design. Attached are a few selects that I liked. And she completely hooked me up with some awesome slices to take home!

D’Amico Kitchen Ad
Thursday, October 8th, 2009
Just got this from Ned over at Brew Creative (www.brew-creative.com). The ad features work of mine done recently for D’Amico & Partners. They are attempting an interesting thing - they will be streaming video of their chefs in action.
D’Amico Kitchen
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009
The good people at D’Amico & Partners were kind enough to hire me to shoot food for their newest restaurant, the D’Amico Kitchen at the Chambers Hotel in downtown Minneapolis (www.chambersminneapolis.com/chambers-hotel-kitchen).
Maggie Stopera (http://maggiethefoodstylist.com/) and I spent a very pleasant day shooting (and tasting) 6 different dishes.

Big ups to my friend, head chef John Occhiato. Here he is in all his glory:

Stonewood, LLC
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009
Haven’t gotten much of a chance to put any new work up lately, but I’m going to correct that today. I don’t usually do interiors but got a chance to work on a project with Sven and Anna at Stonewood LLC (www.stonewood.com) earlier this summer, and really enjoyed it.
